Aikido with an Aloha Spirit
We provide traditional Aikido instruction in a welcoming environment, honoring our club's roots in both Japanese and Hawaiian traditions. When performed at a high level, Aikido is a wonder to behold and experience. Training in Aikido provides students with a level of body awareness and control that few other martial arts can match. The art of Aikido is a life-long study, but the benefits of training in Aikido are appreciated immediately by almost everyone.

Our training activities
We provide instruction for all skill levels and ages. In addition to teaching empty-hand martial art skills, traditional Aikido instruction includes training on movement, balance, falling and rolling, coordination, and more.
Ukemi is the art of receiving the technique of the person executing a throw. Beginning ukemi is learning to roll smoothly to all directions.
Aikido self-defense techniques employ joint locks, pins, and throws.
Youths learn Aikido foundations through a mix of engaging activities.
Learn the art of the katana using wooden practice swords (bokken). We also practice with short staff (jo) and knife (tanto).
Tameshigiri is the Japanese art of target test cutting. What's more fun than cutting open a watermelon with a katana!?
